1. Thanks DDOT staff. Supports the current plan with no feedback. Has recruited nearly 300 people to engage people with this hearing, hoping some have joined the meeting, who are interested in service increases and DDOT improvements. Asks that others also recruit advocates.
2. Represents Detroit People's Platform. Appreciates DDOT's work so far. Likes the changes, but believes the Linwood/Hamilton 29 and 43 routes need to be increased to at least 30 minutes all day.
3. Detroit People's Platform. Likes changes, especially Woodward route improvements. Concerned about Dexter, Linwood/Hamilton frequency. Has spoken with Councilmember Durhall about Joy Rd route issues, including tracker issues and lack of frequency. Suggest that peak times for...
students taking the bus might be after 6pm for after-school activities letting out.
4. In favor of Woodward improvements in frequency and re-routing to allow for a layover at Rosa Parks Transit Center, better for elders and disabled folks. Other service changes: agrees, but Hamilton (23) should be 30 min instead of 45 min, and Linwood should be 30 min.
Notes that people work on weekends as well as weekday, and emphasizes need for more frequency on Michigan and Fenkell but also in general.
5. Endorses Woodward changes to increase accessibility, so folks don't have to cross Grand River downtown and also gives access to bathrooms. Comments that the transit center is locked up often. Agrees with changes from 45 to 30 min frequency. Uses remaining time to pray.
7. Grateful for the Woodward changes, as she rides the bus as a senior. Wishes DDOT would address app/tracker frequency. Thanks advocacy organizations for their work to improve DDOT.
8. Represents @DetroitTransit , glad to see improvements and emphasizes importance of frequency changes. Asks whether it is more useful to make already good routes better or focus on more limited routes. E.g. thinks Woodward change is good, but wonders if improving Livernois rt
@DetroitTransit from 1 hour to 30 minutes instead. Appreciates changes, references DDOT Reimagined project and hopes for more impactful changes in the future.
@DetroitTransit 9. Supports Woodward route change. Says Dexter, Chicago/Davidson and Linwood buses need to be more frequent.
@DetroitTransit 10. Detroit resident, used to take DDOT more often but complains of bad service (fast driving, not considerate of boarding passengers, rude drivers, incompetent drivers). Asks about best format for complaints. -DDOT will provide info for making complaints at end of meeting
@DetroitTransit Patrinick thanks the public for their comments. Lukowski provides public comments info again:
